Second Life: Explore and Experience 3D Virtual Worlds + My Experience

Hello, welcome back to Little Things With Şevval! Today on our menu, we have Second Life and we are going to explore and experience 3D Virtual Worlds together. Take your seat ladies and gentlemen!

What is Second Life?


Second Life (SL) is an online platform based on the three-dimensional virtual world that allows its users to be whoever they want to be. The users can create their avatars - representations of themselves and interact with other avatars, places, and objects. They can communicate with each other, contribute to the world around them, create things such as buildings, objects, and animations. In Second Life, avatars can attend social gatherings like concerts, conferences, and classes. They can explore and experience real life in SL; they can buy lands, buy clothing, make and visit friends, and so on. The most interesting thing about Second Life is that avatars can teleport themselves to almost any location.

You can use Second Life for creativity, entertainment, social, real estate, education, and business. You can explore Second Life by clicking the part that you are interested in.

How to Use Second Life?

First of all, you need to sign up and create your account. After signing up, you can choose your membership level. I prefer to use it on a basic level and it is free.



After getting your membership, you should download Second Life on your computers to be able to explore it. You can download it from their website.



My Experience on Second Life

After downloading Second Life, you can start to explore the three-dimensional worlds and create your own representations - avatars.
For instance, I started to create my avatar by picking clothes and accessories, having a pet dog, and editing my personal appearance. 
If you want to be friends with me, you can find me on Second Life by the name of iamsevval.  




Then, I started to explore visual worlds on Second Life. There are a lot of places that you can teleport and explore.
For instance, in this picture, I am in the Italian Village of Ciampi:


In this picture, I am at Muddy's Music Cafe and I met some new people over there:


Also, the music at the cafe was good:


After spending some time at the cafe, I teleported myself to London city: 


As you can see, you can explore different worlds, teleport at any location, meet new people, and interact with them.

Also, while visiting places, don't forget to take beautiful pictures! You can use interesting filters and give different poses.

Hello guys, welcome back to my blog! I have talked about the Quizlet platform, its limitations, and how and where to use it in my earlier post.
