Learning Management System (LMS) + Moodle + Blackboard: Create Your Own Online Learning Sites!

Hello lovely people! I am glad you are here. Today I am going to talk about an important topic: Learning Management System and a few useful LMS that you guys can use in your teaching. Have a nice reading!

What is the Learning Management System (LMS)?

A learning management system (LMS) is a software technology designed for creating, distributing, and managing the delivery of educational content. It is a functional platform that allows instructors to upload educational content, share data, and deliver lessons to their students.

Learning management systems can improve learning by making it more productive, faster, cost-effective, and trackable. Both instructors and students can easily access courses and administrators can monitor their students' development and make improvements.

Why Teachers Should Use A Learning Management System?

1) Teachers can store all of the eLearning materials that they prepared for their lessons in one location. This can help them to create eLearning courses easily and track their lesson materials and important data.
2) When teachers upload their eLearning materials on the LMS and share them with their students, students can access the information that they need easily. They can use their smartphones, tablets, and computers to log in and reach the materials. This can provide them to study after lessons and develop learning skills by themselves.
3) Teachers can easily track the students' progress and performances while using Learning Management Systems. Teachers can easily detect their students' struggles and provide what is necessary to overcome that struggle in their classes.
4) A Learning Management System reduces learning costs such as instructor travel costs, online training site rentals, and printed eLearning materials. Teachers can make their students become online learners and carry the learning sessions throughout an online environment. This can help teachers to reduce the costs.
5) A Learning Management System reduces learning and development time in terms of providing the information that the students need in a direct and organized way. The students can go and check the online materials that they need and learn easily. They can take online exams, quizzes, and watch videos.
6) Thanks to LMS, teachers can make modifications in their eLearning courses easily and quickly without doing everything all over again.
7) While using a LMS, teachers can integrate social learning in their eLearning courses. They can include different links, social media, and online forums. They can create peer and group collaboration through social learning.
