Padlet: Collaboration in Learning and Teaching!
Hello guys, welcome back! Today we are going to talk about Padlet and its features. So, without further ado, let's get started!
What is Padlet?
Padlet is a website that allows its users to post texts, videos, and images from technological devices. It is very suitable for teachers to use this platform with their students to create collaboration in learning-teaching processes because this platform allows its users to post to the same digital wall at the same time.
Where and How to Use It?
Teachers can use this platform to create engagement and collaboration within the class. Teachers can create walls that are belonged to everybody in the classroom and can share texts, images, videos, make announcements, assign assignments and projects and ask questions on that wall. This way, teachers make their students to be involved and engaged in the class by allowing them to make comments and share texts, images, and videos.
Also, I want to share my journey in creating a platform on Padlet and help you to create your own:
After creating an account on Padlet, there is a button that allows you to make a Padlet.
When you click on it, it opens a page that contains various styles that you can try and build your Padlet.
I chose to create a wall for my students so I clicked on the 'Wall' option. After choosing the style of my Padlet, I started to build my page by choosing an icon and writing the name and description.
After this part, you can share your documents on your Padlet, allow your students to join in. They can read your posts, make comments, participate, and share things on your wall. This way, you can create a warm atmosphere that everybody in your class feels welcomed and belonged and willingly participate and you can build better communication between you and your students.
Thank you for reading. I will see you in my next blogs. Stay safe and healthy!
