Edmodo: Learn Better Together! + How to Create Different Activities on Edmodo

Welcome back! Today on our menu, we have Edmodo! We are going to talk about Edmodo and I will share my own activity with you. Have a nice reading!

What is Edmodo?

Edmodo is an online educational platform that allows teachers to create classrooms and reach out to their students. In this platform, teachers can share classroom codes with their students, and this way, they can create an online atmosphere that both teacher and the students can share ideas, problems and communicate with each other. Also, teachers can create quizzes and activities and share them with their students by using Edmodo.

Let's talk about how to use Edmodo to create a class and an activity.

How to Use It?

When you open the website, firstly, you should sign up from the top right corner.

There are three different account types such as teacher, parent, and student. After choosing the appropriate account type, you can start to fill in your information.

After completing the process and getting your account, you can create your own class. As you can see in the picture, there is a button for creating a class. You can select grades and subjects, give names to your class, write a description, and edit colors while creating your class. When you are finished with creating your class, you can share the classroom code with your students and allow them to join in.

Also, as I mentioned earlier, teachers can create their own activities on Edmodo and share them with their students. Here are a guideline and an example for you:

First of all, when you open your class, there is a button called 'Create' that includes different options such as assignment, quiz, and activity. I preferred to create an activity so I clicked on it.

Here is the page that allows us to create different types of questions. You can create various activities by using multiple-choice, true or false, matching, fill in the blanks, etc.

I created matching, true or false, multiple-choice, and short answer questions. Here you can see my questions:

Also, you can edit the activity's name, privacy, time, subject, grade, etc after finishing your questions.

Here is my activity and its details:

Lastly, there is a share option that you can use to reach out to your students and share the activity with them.

Thank you for reading my blog. I hope you liked it and found useful tips for your classes. See you soon!
