Kahoot!

Kahoot is a game-based learning and teaching platform that allows its users to create, share and play learning games or trivia quizzes. This platform is very beneficial to form an entertaining learning-teaching environment in the classrooms.

Where to Use It?

Teachers can use Kahoot in their classroom environment or even an online education setting with their students to engage and involve them in the learning process. Teachers can use these games and quizzes at the end of their classes to summarize the lesson or evaluate the students’ improvement in learning. Also, by seeing their development, teachers can give feedback to their students and see what further work is needed to achieve success in the learning-teaching process.

How to Use It?

Usage of this platform is very straightforward and suitable for new contemporary education systems because students and teachers are involved in technology, and education occurs within the technology. So, teachers can create their games and quizzes and share their game codes while providing a big screen that shows the game to the students. Students can involve using codes in their technological devices and try to answer the questions within the classroom environment.

Limitations

The only limitation can be that some age groups aren’t allowed to use or bring their digital devices such as tablets and mobile phones to the school. So, these limitations can affect this process because the main feature of Kahoot games is using personal technology devices to connect to the game that is shared by the teacher.
