Media refers to all technological resources that transmit messages, and literacy refers to the ability to read and write, encode and decode symbols and analyze messages. Media literacy is a fundamental and crucial skill in the digital age, and it is inevitable. It is the ability to reach, analyze, evaluate, produce, and create media that every individual needs to develop in the 21st century. When individuals develop this ability, they can be able to understand the complex messages that they receive from media technologies such as television, radio, newspapers, the Internet, magazines, books, billboards, music, and all other forms of media.
